xQIT: Positions Available

Investigations in xQIT are organized into three teams, each attacking one of the three primary problems in quantum information theory that form the focus of the Center. Our teams comprise xQIT's senior investigators, drawn from the MIT faculty. In addition, each team has one xQIT Postdoctoral Fellow and one MIT graduate research assistant, as well as visiting scientists from outside of MIT.

We are actively seeking the three postdoctoral fellows and the three MIT graduate students who can join us in our exciting work.

xQIT: Postdoctoral Fellowships

Three funded xQIT Postdoctoral Fellowships are available, one for each of the following areas: quantum algorithms; quantum communications; and quantum control. If you are an outstanding candidate, we invite you to apply on-line.

xQIT: MIT Graduate Research Assistants

If you are an MIT graduate student interested in conducting work in quantum information, please contact Professor Seth Lloyd at slloyd@mit.edu.

xQIT: Visiting Scientist Program

The xQIT Visiting Scientist Program will be formed in the Summer of 2007. We will present additional information at that time.

"Note that these problems are theoretical, not experimental. If theorists can solve one or more of them, it will make the need for quantum computing and quantum communication technology far more compelling than it is today."
