Abstract

We derive a master equation describing the interaction of a multipartite quantum system, consisting to a set of subsystems, with an environment, consisting of a large number of subenvirobments, via sequential series of local unitary collisions. Each subsystem collides with the same sequence of subenvironments which in between the collisions evolve according to a Map. No specific assumption is made on the nature of neither the system nor the environment. We show that the reduced dynamics of each subsystem is described by a local Linblad operator which, in some cases, contains information on the fact that other subsystems have interacted with the environment. Furthermore the Linblad operator that describes the overall reduced dynamics of the system contains pairwise terms describing cross correlation between operators acting on different subsystems. Such correlation have the correct time ordered structure.
